We are seeking a proficient and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with strong expertise in CAD tools such as Siemens NX and PLM Teamcenter. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in mechanical engineering principles and demonstrate excellent conceptual design, CAD modeling and drafting skills. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and high-quality product designs. The candidate should be capable of deep diving into Product Lifecycle Management processes to support design, development, and release activities, ensuring design integrity and efficiency throughout the product development cycle.

Our Team

This team has global engineering ownership across several Cage & Connector Product Lines, provides Product Design and Validation Services, designs and develops Mold & Die Tooling, Gage & Fixture, Product Testing Systems and Application Tooling services to customers and stakeholders in Datacom and Specialty Solutions Division located across the globe. The Division primarily provides products and solutions that go into Datacenter and related infrastructure that powers cloud computing, artificial intelligence, etc. The position will be part of this engineering team at Molex India Business Services.

What You Will Do

· Design and development of EMI/EMC shielding Sheetmetal cages for high-speed data cables for data transfer & storage, cloud computing and artificial intelligence.

· Utilize Siemens UG NX software to conceptualize and develop new designs, 3D models and assemblies of mechanical systems, ensuring accuracy, precision, and adherence to design specifications.

· Collaborate with supervisors and cross-functional teams to interpret technical requirements and customer needs, translating them into optimized 3D models, flat patterns, and 2D drawings.

· Apply sheet metal design principles, tolerances, and GD&T to ensure proper fit, form, and function of a product.

· Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and validation of sheet metal Conduct design reviews and provide technical inputs to improve product performance, cost, and manufacturability. Collaborate closely with manufacturing and production teams to address design-related issues, resolve manufacturing discrepancies, and support the development of efficient manufacturing processes.

· Ability to optimize the designs based on DFM’s.


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

· Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical

· 3 to 6 years Design experience in Product design, Development & Modification, Product Validation & Testing, Manufacturing process knowledge

· Good knowledge and understanding of electromechanical products, components and assemblies

· Strong English verbal and written communication skills that demonstrate the ability to express complex technical concepts clearly and concisely

· Knowledge on product design like PDP process, product testing

· Ability to evaluate risk in design, come up with mitigation plans and assess solution alternatives

· Ability to work independently, manage and prioritize multiple tasks and meet project deadlines

What Will Put You Ahead

·Proficient in Siemens NX, Teamcenter, and PLM/PDM systems.

· Experience in the connector or electromechanical products industry.

·Skilled in developing product designs aligned with customer requirements.

·Strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, with the ability to apply this knowledge effectively in product design
