The Components Order Design department is part of Hitachi Energy in Ludvika and is responsible for delivering technical solutions for tap changers and motor-drive units worldwide.

Within our organization, we handle the electrical design related to customer orders, with a strong focus on ensuring that components and solutions meet both technical requirements and project specifications.

In the role of Order Design Engineer, you will work with electrical design for customer projects, adapting standard solutions to meet specific requirements. Your responsibilities will span the entire process from design and documentation to verification of solutions in close collaboration with other engineering disciplines, production, and suppliers.

You will play an important role in ensuring efficient, high-quality deliveries.

Our team consists of experienced professionals and works in close cooperation with sales, order management, and production. Together, we are involved in projects from the tender phase through to final delivery, while also supporting upgrade and service projects.

The position is based in Ludvika, Sweden.

Your responsibilities

• Responsible for adapting our tap changers and Motor-drives according to the customer's specifications.
• Fulfill our promises to the customer from "order in" to "delivered product and satisfied customer".
• Cooperation within the company: supply chain management, production, marketing & sales etc.
• Maintain good cooperation with external partners and suppliers
• Support marketing and sales with interpretation of customers’ specifications.

Your background

• We are looking for BSc or MSc in electrical engineering or similar
• Experienced professionals or fresh out of university – we are interested in all kinds of people
• Positive if you have experience in production, orders or sales.
• You are action-oriented and flexible
• Most important is your attitude and ambition.
• Experience in transformers or transformer components is a benefit.
• Knowledge of CAD tools such as Creo and/or elMaster.
• As a person you have great teamwork capabilities, and you see challenges as an opportunity and take on new tasks with a positive spirit
• Required good communication skills, fluent in English both written and spoken. Swedish is a plus
