Purpose of Role:
Weir ESCO is seeking an innovative engineer to develop products, processes and solutions to expand and enhance the ConstructionGround Engaging ToolsProduct portfolio.We solve complexmechanicalproblemstoprovidemarket leading products optimized for performance andmanufacturability.This position will report to the Engineering Team Lead.

Key Responsibilities:
NewProduct Design:Effectively communicatewithinternal and externalcustomers to identify design criteria forbest-in-class, primarily cast steel,productswhich meet and exceed customer expectations
Product Optimization:Work with sales, manufacturing teams, and suppliers toidentify opportunities toimprove product offering as needed to industry leading expectations
Problem SolvingUse sound engineering principles and practices in defining, solving, and documenting problem solutions
BuildingandTestingParticipatein first article manufacturing trials, lab testing, and field trials
Technical Writing:Write productspecifications and standards
DatabaseManagement:Maintain data throughout theproductlifecyclesusing engineering change orders and database tools
Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or master’sdegreeorin Mechanical Engineering
Two+ years’ related engineering experience
CAD modeling skills; ideally with Siemens NX
CAE skills:FEAStress Analysis
Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
Willing and able to travel up to 5% (domestic and international)
Must be authorized to permanently work in the United Stateswithout sponsorship
Additional Skills & Experience:
Analysis tools: DEM, MAGMASOFT®, and LS-DYNA
Tolerancing withGD&T
Mining or Construction industry experience
Design for Manufacture and Lean Manufacturing principles
Design of Experiments and applied statistical analysis
Fabrication and casting design
Materials and fracture mechanics
Pattern tooling design
Laser scanning & scan to model processing
Project management (MS Project preferred)
Positivecontributionto the community
High degree of creativity and a drive for results
