Job Description

  • Develop detailed 3D models and engineering drawings for mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks.
  • Collaborate with customers to ensure designs meet customer requirements and specifications.
  • Prepare technical sales drawings for customer approval before manufacturing.
  • Review and check all designs and drawings for accuracy and manufacturability before manufacturing.
  • Create bill of materials using ERP system.
  • Assist in the development and testing of prototypes to validate design performance and functionality
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all design iterations and revisions.
  • Consult with engineering and mfg. teams, ensuring designs are feasible and meet engineering standards.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to production and quality teams during the manufacturing process.
  • Assist in troubleshooting design-related issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Optimize designs for production efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by proposing and implementing innovative design solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design, Drafting, or related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in product design and development for manufacturing, including sheet metal and machined parts.
  • Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD software. Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks is a plus.
  • 2-3 years of experience using Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
  • Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and material science.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong MS Office skills (Word, PP, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
