Design Engineer
An MEP Design Engineer is responsible for designing, planning, and coordinating Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems for construction projects such as commercial buildings, residential complexes, and industrial facilities. The role ensures that all MEP systems are efficient, compliant with regulations, and properly integrated within the building design.
Responsibilities:
Ensure the timely submission of all tender-related documents.
Demonstrate design capability in MEP systems such as Fire Protection and Detection, Plumbing, Compressed Air, LP Gas Supply, and Leak Detection Systems.
Prepare design drawings, technical schedules and guide the QS team in BOQ preparation.
Provide MEP-related calculations where necessary, such as hydraulic calculations for pump selection, cooling load calculations air duct ESP calculations.
Prepare technical documents required for tender submission.
Review tender documents and interpret the technical requirements stated in specifications, BOQs, and other related documents.
Evaluate the technical compliance of materials in accordance with the tender documents.
Candidate Profile:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
Minimum of five years’ experience in designing and implementing refrigeration or HVAC systems.
Strong knowledge of technical competencies related to MEP systems.
Proficiency in communication, MS Office applications, and presentation skills.
