Title:

Design & Drafting Lead - Transport & Civil

Are you an experienced Design & Drafting Lead or Senior Civil Designer looking to step into a key leadership role on major transport infrastructure projects?

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Design & Drafting Lead – Transport & Civil to join our Perth team. In this role, you will drive the coordination, quality and delivery of civil design models and drawing packages across road, rail and multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.

You will play a pivotal role in ensuring BIM-enabled and digitally coordinated project delivery, while mentoring designers and drafters and contributing to continuous improvement across drafting standards and workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead preparation and coordination of civil design models and drawing packages
• Coordinate multidisciplinary outputs across road, drainage, utilities, rail and staging
• Review and ensure quality, accuracy and compliance of deliverables
• Drive digital engineering and BIM workflows across projects
• Support model federation, clash detection and coordination activities
• Provide leadership, mentoring and technical guidance to designers and drafters
• Liaise with clients, contractors and key stakeholders including MRWA and PTA
• Support delivery from concept design through to IFC and construction phases
• Contribute to continuous improvement in drafting standards and delivery efficiency

Skills & Experience Required:

• Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering Design, Drafting or similar
• 10–15+ years’ experience in civil design/drafting within transport infrastructure
• Strong experience delivering MRWA, PTA or major infrastructure projects
• Advanced capability in OpenRoads Designer, 12d or Civil 3D
• Proficiency in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design documentation
• Strong understanding of Australian Standards, Austroads and WA requirements
• Experience working within BIM-enabled or digitally coordinated environments
• Demonstrated leadership capability with experience mentoring and developing teams
• Ability to deliver work to program, budget and quality expectations
