Interventional Cardiology Therapies (ICT) are a key part of the Medtronic portfolio, focused on addressing unmet needs in the growing areas of complex Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), Renal Denervation (RDN), and Structural Heart therapies. The Design Assurance team is committed to maintaining the highest quality standards throughout new product development, from early concept through verification. By translating design requirements and customer needs into innovative solutions, the team partners with cross-functional colleagues to deliver high-quality products that meet patient and customer expectations.

A Day in the Life:

  • Act as an extended team member on a PDP Project, representing the Design Assurance function and reporting indirectly to the quality lead on the project
  • Prepare test method validations, design verification and shelf-life protocols / reports
  • Support and complete risk management documentation
  • Be responsible for preparing test method validations, design verification and shelf-life protocols/reports
  • You will stay updated on industry best practices concerning product design
  • Keep expert knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements for product design, development, transfer, and commercialization activities.
  • Collaborate with various departments both internally and externally to build strong partnerships
  • Provide Quality input into new product development, process improvements, and change control
  • Support cross-functional teams in designing protocols to ensure that new products or product changes are adequately evaluated and tested according to standard requirements
  • Prioritize timely presentation of quality issues and escalate to leadership based on sound engineering, analysis & review for the success of the business.
  • Support internal and external audits

Key Skills & Experience

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree and minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in Quality Engineering, Science OR master’s degree in engineering, Science, or technical discipline with a minimum of 0 years relevant experience
  • Experience in a highly regulated industry, preferably medical devices
  • Ability to work with cross functional groups to lead deliverables
  • Work with cross functional groups to investigate technical problems and apply critical thinking
  • Experience of working in complaint handling/post market quality team
