Johnny Was is seeking a passionate and creative Fashion Design Assistant to join our dynamic design team. As a Fashion Design Assistant , you will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced designers and contribute to the creation of innovative and trend-setting fashion pieces. This position is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in the fashion industry and build a strong foundation in design. This is an entry level position.

• Collaborate with the design team to brainstorm and create original fashion concepts.
• Assist in the development of sketches, patterns, and prototypes.
• Participate in fabric selection and sourcing activities.
• Support the design team in creating technical drawings and specifications.
• Support the design team in organizing trim libraries and sample room.
• Stay updated on industry trends and conduct market research.
• Attend design meetings and contribute to the creative process.
• Assist in the preparation of presentations and design pitches.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a Fashion Design or related program.
• Strong understanding of design principles and fashion trends.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Detail-oriented with a keen eye for aesthetics.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction.

Hourly Range: $23.74 -$35.60
