Responsible for assisting with the design and fabrication of the Sesquicentennial Traveling Exhibition. Duties include assisting project leaders with fabricating various components of a traveling exhibition, including wall and kiosk construction, ephemera design, technology design, other graphic design related elements as needed, evaluation/data collection tool design, scheduling and estimating as needed, procurement and project administration.

Required Education and Experience:
Presently enrolled at Prairie View A&M University for at least nine (9) graduate or six (6) undergraduate semester credit hours during the term in which the work is to be done.
Must be in good academic standing (SAP) as demonstrated through your college; minimum 2.0 GPA
No prior experience necessary
For work eligibility during a summer term, a student must be enrolled for at least three (3) undergraduate semester credit hours during the term in which the work is to be done or preregistered at least six (6) undergraduate semester hours for the fall/spring terms.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Majoring in Architecture, Construction Science or Digital Media Arts
Architectural or Design Model Building and/or Prototyping (architecture or graphic design)
Project management and development (architecture/construction/graphic design/exhibition)
Signage/Exhibit Design (studio or real-world projects).
Experience with AV equipment
Graphic Design-related experience
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficient in Adobe software: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, AfterEffects
Basic carpentry and fabrication skills in using hand and power tools
Familiarity with materials used in exhibit construction
Ability to produce print-ready files and simple signage/ephemera layouts
Working knowledge of AV technology
Project support and administrative skills as it relates to project documentation, record-keeping, estimating, etc.
Listen and follow instructions
Strong attention to detail
Other Requirements:
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to stay on campus for the duration of the program to perform required job responsibilities
