This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Desenvolvedor Fullstack PHP Pleno based in Brazil.

This is a fully remote opportunity for a mid-level Fullstack Developer to work within an agile, collaborative squad focused on building reliable technology. You will contribute across both backend and frontend, working primarily with PHP and React. The role combines maintenance of a mature legacy platform with the development of new features and business-driven improvements. You will investigate complex issues, improve system performance, and integrate applications with APIs, databases, and external services. Quality, clean development practices, documentation, and continuous improvement are central to the role. You’ll work closely with Product, QA, and fellow developers in an environment that values creativity, autonomy, collaboration, and work-life balance.

• Perform corrective and evolutionary maintenance on legacy applications built with PHP on the backend and React on the frontend, ensuring stability, performance, and alignment with business needs.
• Investigate bugs and technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective and sustainable solutions.
• Develop enhancements to existing functionality and implement new features based on evolving business requirements.
• Integrate PHP applications with external APIs, relational databases, and other systems and services.
• Analyze existing code and identify opportunities for refactoring, modernization, performance improvements, and maintainability.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation covering changes, integrations, and application evolution.
• Collaborate with QA, Product, developers, and other multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality and well-aligned deliveries.
• Apply software development best practices, including Git version control, design patterns, code reviews, and continuous integration.
• Contribute to an agile delivery environment by participating actively in technical discussions, planning, and solution development.
• Help improve the quality and reliability of legacy systems while balancing technical improvements with business priorities.

Requirements:

• Completed degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of practical experience developing and maintaining PHP applications, particularly within legacy environments.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of the Laravel Framework
• Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with Git and version-control practices, as well as continuous integration concepts.
• Ability to understand, maintain, debug, and progressively refactor legacy codebases.
• Good understanding of fullstack development, including backend services, frontend applications, APIs, and database integrations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with resilience when dealing with complex or unfamiliar technical challenges.
• Good communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with multidisciplinary teams.
• Proactive mindset, ownership, and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps is a plus.
