Summit Plastic Surgery & Dermatology, an Integrated Dermatology practice, has been a trusted provider of dermatologic care in coastal North Carolina for more than 25 years, with locations in Hampstead, Wilmington, and Supply.

Our established practice offers a comprehensive approach to patient care, bringing together medical dermatology, surgical dermatology, Mohs surgery, plastic surgery, and aesthetic services within one collaborative organization.

You'll join an experienced team of 3 physicians and 8 Advanced Practice Providers, along with skilled aestheticians and dedicated clinical support staff. With an established patient base, strong community reputation, and experienced providers across multiple specialties, you'll have the resources and support to focus on delivering exceptional patient care.

Job Description

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Dermatology PA-C or Nurse Practitioner to join our established team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced dermatology provider looking for the right combination of clinical autonomy, strong earning potential, an established patient base, and exceptional work-life balance: this position offers a 4-day workweek with no call responsibilities.

You'll manage your own patient panel while working alongside an experienced team of physicians and APPs who are available for collaboration and support when needed.

Your practice will include a broad range of medical and surgical dermatology, including:

• Comprehensive skin cancer screenings
• Diagnosis and treatment of acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, hair loss, and other dermatologic conditions
• Evaluation and treatment of suspicious lesions and skin cancers
• Biopsies, excisions, and other dermatologic procedures
• Development of individualized treatment plans and patient education
• Collaboration with our physicians, APPs, and in-house Mohs surgery team on complex cases
• Opportunities to participate in cosmetic dermatology based on experience and interest

You'll step into an established practice where patient demand already exists, allowing you to focus on providing excellent dermatologic care and building long-term relationships with your patients.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

• Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner
• Active North Carolina license or eligibility to obtain licensure
• Previous dermatology experience required; 1+ years preferred
• Strong medical dermatology knowledge and procedural skills
• Excellent clinical judgment and commitment to high-quality patient care
• Ability to practice independently while collaborating effectively with physicians and fellow APPs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
