QualDerm Partners is excited to announce a position for a Dermatology Medical Assistant at our Mount Airy, NC location. We are dedicated to providing comprehensive skin and aesthetics wellness services, specializing in dermatology, skin cancer treatment, cosmetics, and plastic surgery. As a Dermatology Medical Assistant in Mount Airy, you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our clinical team. Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations by accurately taking vitals and medical histories.
• Assist physicians during dermatology examinations and procedures, ensuring readiness of all necessary tools and equipment.
• Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for lab analysis.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, complying with all relevant healthcare standards and regulations.
• Coordinate appointment scheduling and facilitate effective communication within the clinical environment.
• Provide patient education regarding treatment plans, medications, and skin care routines.
• Ensure examination rooms are clean, organized, and sufficiently stocked with medical supplies.
• Assist with social media presence and community engagement as directed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a related healthcare role is highly desirable.
• Understanding of medical terminology, especially in dermatology.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and staff.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic computer software.
