Dermatology Medical Assistant

Bring your skills, your compassion, and your best “we’ve got this” attitude!

Love helping people feel comfortable, cared for, and confident in their skin? Join QualDerm Partners as a Dermatology Medical Assistant and put your passion for patient care into action. From welcoming patients to assisting with procedures, you’ll play an essential role in keeping our clinic running smoothly and making each visit a positive experience.

QualDerm brings together professionals across dermatology, skin cancer care, cosmetics, plastic surgery, and pathology. We value teamwork, thoughtful patient care, and colleagues who are ready to roll up their sleeves and help each other succeed.

Your day in dermatology

If you enjoy a busy day with plenty of patient interaction, you’ll feel right at home. You will:

  • Start each visit with a warm welcome: Room patients, review medical histories and medications, document their concerns, and obtain vital signs as applicable.
  • Be a trusted clinical teammate: Assist providers with examinations, office procedures, and surgical preparation, including confirming required documentation and consents.
  • Put your clinical skills to work: Perform injections, suture removals, and other patient care tasks as directed by providers and within your training and authorized scope.
  • Keep the details in order: Accurately document visits in the electronic medical record and properly verify, label, and log specimens.
  • Help patients stay connected to their care: Relay provider instructions, communicate results as directed, respond to patient messages, and assist with prescriptions, referrals, and follow-up scheduling.
  • Keep the clinic ready for what’s next: Clean and stock treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain clinical supplies and equipment.
  • Protect patient privacy: Follow confidentiality, safety, and infection prevention procedures in every interaction.
  • Bring your team spirit: Pitch in where needed and, when assigned, help with clinic-approved social media and community engagement activities.

What you’ll bring

  • A high school diploma.
  • 1–2 years of medical office experience; dermatology experience preferred.
  • Medical Assistant certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and medical office procedures.
  • Comfort using electronic medical records, computers, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a friendly, professional approach.
  • The ability to multitask, stay calm when priorities shift, and support your teammates.

Why you’ll love this opportunity

Build your dermatology experience while working alongside skilled providers and colleagues who share your commitment to patient care. You’ll have opportunities to contribute, continue learning, and make a difference through both hands-on clinical support and the small moments that help patients feel at ease.

Schedule and work setting

This is an on-site, hourly position in a clinical office. Typical business hours fall between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday, with schedules varying by practice and business needs. Travel to other office locations may be required.

The role involves extended standing, frequent movement, and occasionally lifting or carrying up to 20 pounds.

Ready to put your passion for patient care into practice? Apply today and help us make every patient visit a great one!

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information professionally.
