About Hearst Magazines (Why Us?)

Hearst Magazines is one of the largest publishers in the world, with more than 30 brands, including Cosmopolitan, ELLE, Esquire, Good Housekeeping, Harper’s BAZAAR, Popular Mechanics, and Delish. We reach more than 150 million people every month in the United States alone.

But we’re more than just our magazines. We engage our audience across all mediums and channels—print, digital, video, and social—with sophisticated content creation, distribution, and data capabilities. We create, package, and sell products with cutting-edge technology and proprietary platforms. Together, we are reinventing publishing for the 21st century.

Key Responsibilities (What You Are Doing)

  • Lead and manage the social media team to drive audience growth, engagement, and brand impact
  • Develop and execute cross-platform social strategies, including cadence, KPIs, and performance benchmarks

  • Conceptualize and launch social-first franchises featuring editors, talent, celebrities, and creators to drive conversation and retention
  • Analyze performance data and translate insights into actionable editorial and content strategies
  • Collaborate with editorial, video, and brand teams to create high-impact, social-first content initiatives
  • Manage freelancers, contributors, and external partnerships across social-led projects
  • Identify emerging platforms, trends, and opportunities to expand Delish’s reach and relevance

Qualifications (What We’re Looking For)

  • 5+ years of experience in social media, editorial, or digital content within a media or publishing environment
  • Proven success developing and scaling social-first video franchises and formats
  • Strong understanding of social analytics and ability to translate data into content strategy (experience with tools like Dash Hudson, Parse.ly, Looker, or similar is a plus)
  • Deep knowledge of social platforms, trends, and audience behavior, especially within food and pop culture
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Highly organized, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • A curiosity-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation
  • This role is based in New York City with a hybrid in-office schedule

  • 401(k) retirement savings plan
  • Paid time off, including vacation, sick time, and holidays
  • Professional development opportunities
  • Employee wellness programs
