Deputy Service Manager
Full time, Permanent Position - Location – Eden, NSW
Role Purpose
Providing direct support and guidance to our Registered Nurses at Uniting Eden and overseeing all aspects of clinical care, the Deputy Service Manager is an important supporting role for staff, residents and families alike.
This role will utilise your team leadership and nursing experience to fulfill an engaging and rewarding role within the residential Aged Care sector.
Key Responsibilities
• Support clinical governance and continuous improvement initiatives by helping monitor quality indicators, incidents, feedback, and client outcomes.
• Provide leadership in WH&S behaviours and actions within the team and department.
• Help maintain a safe working environment by ensuring staff receive the training, support and resources needed to work safely and confidently.
• Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to turn strategic goals into clear plans, priorities, and practical actions that teams can confidently deliver.
• Keep up to date with industry trends and commercial impacts and understand how the department’s advice and decisions influence other areas across Uniting.
• Contribute to the development and evaluation of changes and improvements to the services provided by the department/team and ensure that changes support the viability of Uniting.

Qualifications and Experience
• Current and up-to-date AHPRA Registration.
• Experience leading a team in a similar position. Ideally as a care manager or service manager/deputy service manager role in aged or community care.
• Strong knowledge and an understanding of up-to-date changes within the Aged Care sector.
• Clear and professional communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to build and maintain strong, professional working relationships with those around you.
• Problem solving skills. The ability to negotiate, mediate, and resolve conflict/problems when they arise.
• Great understanding of Work Health and Safety principles and risk management practices.
• C-Class Driving Licence is highly regarded but not required.
