As Quality Deputy Manager you will be responsible for assisting with the management of the quality assurance and quality control functions of Worley personnel and subcontractors on a nuclear project, providing direct interface with the Customer and assisting in training the Customer’s personnel.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Organizes and leads the Worley Quality team in the absence of the Quality Manager to help the Customer ensure the project is effectively and technically developed to meet the contract requirements and standards, local and international codes, timeline, and budget during all project phases – design, construction, including manufacturing and installation, testing, and commissioning
  • Assists in ensuring the Worley Quality team is correctly indoctrinated in Nuclear quality and HSE standards.
  • Responsible for providing technical support to the Worley Project Manager and project management team.
  • Represents Worley Quality team at internal & external meetings on the project.
  • Assists in ensuring that Worley project procedures are developed and rolled out for the project and that work is performed following Worley & Project internal processes and procedures.
  • Supports the Owner’s Quality team in performing internal audits and audits of project Contractors and Subcontractors.
  • Reports on project technical scope performance against the baseline plan.
  • Ensures that the Worley team and any third-party subcontractors adhere to the Project execution and quality plans.
  • Organizes and manages review of documents.
  • Ensures participation in safety and hazard assessments.
  • Reviews, comments and prepares drafts of client correspondence pertaining to Quality systems and processes.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • Strong technical skills; 10+ years of experience in QA/QC in nuclear power plant operation and/or nuclear construction projects, including experience as an auditor and/or inspector.
  • Proven to be effective working in multi-cultural teams.
  • Recognized as having a specialized depth or breadth of expertise.
  • Excellent report writing skills.

Special Job Requirements

  • Ability to communicate, influence and persuade.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential, understanding of Russian is a plus.
  • Sound engineering background.
  • Prudent use of confidential information.
  • Organized and disciplined, capability to plan and schedule tasks and events.
  • Ability to work and interact with multidiscipline teams.
