Deputy Project Director
Location: Karachi, Pakistan
Take the lead on one of the region’s most significant port infrastructure transformations with a leading international port and terminal operator This client-side opportunity offers the chance to directly shape the delivery of a high-value marine and cargo terminal project – and evolve into the future Project Director.
You’ll be hands-on from day one, driving the mobilisation of workstreams, managing risk, and ensuring delivery aligns with the business case. This is a fast-paced, high-energy role for a proactive leader who thrives on transformation delivery and making things happen.
Lead all phases of implementation across functional and technical workstreams
Mobilise cross-functional teams to deliver project outcomes at maximum value
Champion integrated project scheduling, resourcing and risk management
Ensure full scope and change management accountability across departments
Maintain robust reporting, documentation and decision-making support
Build strong relationships across internal and external stakeholders
Drive collaboration while proactively tackling roadblocks and resolving issues
Represent the project leadership in key engagements – and be ready to step up
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field; Master’s degree or PMP/CAPM is a plus
At least 7 years’ experience delivering complex capital projects – ideally port or marine infrastructure
Demonstrated success in fast-paced project mobilisation and delivery
Strong experience in stakeholder engagement and cross-functional team leadership
Proven ability to manage change, resolve conflict and maintain momentum
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
A high-energy, positive and execution-focused mindset
Comfortable with single status living in Karachi
Willingness to be on-site, visible, and deeply involved in daily delivery activities
