Deputy Project Director
Location: Karachi, Pakistan

Take the lead on one of the region’s most significant port infrastructure transformations with a leading international port and terminal operator This client-side opportunity offers the chance to directly shape the delivery of a high-value marine and cargo terminal project – and evolve into the future Project Director.

You’ll be hands-on from day one, driving the mobilisation of workstreams, managing risk, and ensuring delivery aligns with the business case. This is a fast-paced, high-energy role for a proactive leader who thrives on transformation delivery and making things happen.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead all phases of implementation across functional and technical workstreams

• Mobilise cross-functional teams to deliver project outcomes at maximum value

• Champion integrated project scheduling, resourcing and risk management

• Ensure full scope and change management accountability across departments

• Maintain robust reporting, documentation and decision-making support

• Build strong relationships across internal and external stakeholders

• Drive collaboration while proactively tackling roadblocks and resolving issues

• Represent the project leadership in key engagements – and be ready to step up

What You'll Bring to the Table

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field; Master’s degree or PMP/CAPM is a plus

• At least 7 years’ experience delivering complex capital projects – ideally port or marine infrastructure

• Demonstrated success in fast-paced project mobilisation and delivery

• Strong experience in stakeholder engagement and cross-functional team leadership

• Proven ability to manage change, resolve conflict and maintain momentum

• Fluent in English (written and spoken)

• A high-energy, positive and execution-focused mindset

• Comfortable with single status living in Karachi

• Willingness to be on-site, visible, and deeply involved in daily delivery activities
