True Zero is seeking a Deputy Program Manager to support disciplined contractor execution for the VA Zero Trust acceleration effort. The role assists the Technical Project Lead with delivery governance, resource coordination, quality reviews, stakeholder engagement, and resolution of cross-workstream issues.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support planning and coordination across maturity assessment, architecture, engineering, automation, analytics, and implementation workstreams.
  • Maintain contractor action, risk, issue, dependency, and decision tracking and ensure owners and due dates are clear.
  • Coordinate internal quality reviews and readiness checks before deliverables are submitted for Government review.
  • Support staffing, workload balancing, meeting preparation, status reporting, and escalation of delivery constraints.
  • Track Government comments and coordinate timely disposition of in-scope feedback within the deliverable review cycle.
  • Support transition planning, knowledge continuity, and consistent execution practices across the contractor team.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Five or more years of program or project delivery experience in Federal IT or cybersecurity environments.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary technical teams and customer-facing deliverables.
  • Experience with risk, issue, dependency, action, and quality management practices.
  • Strong written communication and organizational skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Zero Trust or cybersecurity modernization programs.
  • Experience supporting VA or another Federal civilian agency.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery and technical governance.
  • Preferred Certifications:
    One or more of the following:
  • PMP
  • CAPM
  • ITIL
  • Security+
