Deputy Program Manager

Compensation: $138,000 - $148,500 / year


Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred but listed as required in the document’s “Desired” category).

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full lifecycle performance of a large-scale Government contract across multiple locations.
  • Address operational challenges and resolve issues that affect performance or customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Conduct analyses of training needs, develop solutions, and ensure their successful implementation.
  • Coordinate project activities with contractor personnel and Government representatives.
  • Prepare and deliver business briefings, presentations, and written reports for senior Government officials.
  • Provide proactive recommendations to improve program quality, cost efficiency, and workflow.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:

  • Extensive analytical ability, including the development of complex statistical analyses, cost estimates, and reports.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for coordination, fact‑finding, and collaborative problem‑solving.
  • Ability to brief management officials and respond promptly to Government inquiries.
  • Demonstrated capacity to recommend innovative approaches for process and quality improvement.
