Spire Dunedin Hospital is looking for a Deputy Nursing Manager to lead our team.

As a Deputy Nursing Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operation of the Surgical Ward, ensuring patients receive outstanding care throughout their hospital journey whilst maintaining high standards of quality, safety and operational performance.
Working closely with nursing colleagues, consultants, senior clinical leaders and the wider multidisciplinary team, you'll oversee the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care whilst ensuring the ward runs safely, efficiently and effectively.
You'll be responsible for creating an environment where patient safety, quality and continuous improvement remain at the forefront of everything the team does. Through visible leadership, coaching and support, you'll help colleagues develop, build confidence and deliver exceptional patient care.
You'll also contribute to service development and operational excellence, helping to ensure the Surgical Ward continues to deliver excellent outcomes and experiences for patients.
Spire Dunedin Hospital is a well-established hospital located in the heart of Reading, with two theatres, 16 inpatient beds, three recovery bays, oncology services and an endoscopy suite.
As a smaller hospital, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with senior leaders and contribute directly to service development and quality improvement initiatives. You'll build strong working relationships across the organisation and play an important role in shaping patient experience, team development and service delivery.
As a Deputy Nursing Manager, your contribution will be visible. You'll be trusted to influence team development, service improvements, clinical quality and the patient experience, allowing you to see the direct impact of your leadership across the Surgical Ward.
Contract: Permanent
Days/Hours: Full Time | 37.5 hours per week | Monday - Sunday, variable shifts
