Salary: Up to £15.10 per hour (within the top 10% of nurseries in the area)

We are looking for a Deputy Manager to cover a period of maternity leave (up to 12 months) to work as part of the leadership team at Muddy Boots in Gildersome. If you have the qualifications and experience to fill this role - we would love to hear from you!

About the Role


As a Deputy Manager at Muddy Boots, you will be an integral part of our management team, responsible for delivering high-quality, nature-based learning experiences. We believe that outdoor adventures are at the heart of childhood development, and we are committed to fostering a fun, supportive, and enriching environment for both children and staff.
Key Responsibilities:

🌿 Support staff to plan and deliver engaging learning activities, with a focus on outdoor play and exploration
🌿 Observe, assess, and support children’s individual learning journeys
🌿 Build strong relationships with children, families, and team members
🌿 Ensure a safe, inspiring, and stimulating environment for all children
🌿 Contribute to a happy, healthy, and thriving team that loves what they do!

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

What We’re Looking For:
✔️ Passion for outdoor education and a commitment to nature-based learning
✔️ Experience in early years education ( Level 3 qualified a minimum)
✔️ A proactive and positive attitude with great teamwork skills
✔️ Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
