As the Deputy Manager - Tractor Assembly at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing the assembly line operations within the Tractor Assembly & Testing department. Your core responsibilities will encompass the effective management of man cost control by improving line productivity and implementing cost-reduction strategies targeting scrap, consumables, and manpower. You will lead initiatives to achieve Service Parts Revenue (SPR) improvements exceeding 90%, and conduct thorough defects data analysis to establish robust countermeasures.
Additionally, you will manage market complaint analysis and resolution, ensuring continuous monitoring for quality and customer satisfaction. Your leadership will be crucial in directing the Assembly manufacturing team to meet and surpass the control metrics of Product Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, and Morale (PQCDSM). You will coordinate cross-functionally with internal departments, external teams, and vendors to achieve process improvements and facilitate the smooth establishment and scaling of new products into mass production.
Your duties will include strict adherence and enforcement of training schedules for both workers and staff, daily manpower management by resolving conflicts and disagreements promptly, and inspiring team spirit among workers through consistent performance reviews and feedback. You will perform gap analysis to identify production losses, quality issues, and machine breakdowns and synchronize parts supply across different product models, ensuring alignment with production plans and delivery targets.
