Job Description

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Job Purpose

The incumbent will be responsible formanaging manufacturing operations for the Electric 3W TCF (Trim, Chassis & Final Assembly) Line The role is responsible for ensuring achievement of production targets while driving quality, productivity, safety, cost optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives. The incumbent will work closely with Cross Functional Teams (Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, IE, and Product Engineering) to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets with optimum utilization of manpower and resources.
  • Drive productivity, quality, cost, delivery, and safety (PQCDSM) improvements on the shopfloor.
  • Lead line balancing, capacity enhancement, cycle time reduction, and OEE improvement activities.
  • Monitor and improve First Pass Yield (FPY) and reduce defects, rework, and process losses.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Coordinate with Quality, Design, SCM, IE, Maintenance, and Manufacturing teams for issue resolution.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI), pilot builds, and production ramp-up activities.
  • Ensure compliance with SOPs, Control Plans, PFMEA, EHS requirements, and automotive quality standards.
  • Develop production teams through skill enhancement, training, and performance management.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Kaizen, 5S, and cost reduction initiatives.

Experience

  • 7-12 years of experience in Automotive/EV Manufacturing.
  • Minimum 3-5 years in Production Leadership role handling assembly operations.

Industry Preferred

Qualifications

B.E./B.Tech (Mechanical, Electrical, Automobile, Production or equivalent)

  • 7 QC Tools, Fishbone Analysis, 8D & RCA
  • OEE Monitoring and Shopfloor Management
  • SAP/ERP Systems
  • EV Diagnostics and Electrical Troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001
