Job Description

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Ensuring supplier-produced parts meet quality, cost, delivery, and launch readiness requirements throughout the product lifecycle—from development to SOP and mass production.

• Ensure on time completion TSO (Technical Signoff) , Design reviews, Tooling readiness and validation, Trial builds, pilot runs, and run at rate
• Evaluate supplier manufacturing processes for capability, robustness, and compliance
• Assess process capability (Cp/Cpk, Ppk) for critical and special characteristics
• Drive process improvements and error proofing (Poka Yoke)
• Ensure PPAP submission accuracy, completeness, and approval
• Coordinate sample builds, validation, and engineering sign-off
• Monitor and improve supplier KPIs - Quality (PPM, FTQ), Delivery, Responsiveness
• Identify chronic issues and lead structured improvement plans
• Problem Solving & Risk Mitigation - 8D / 5 Why / Ishikawa problem solving, rive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions
• Manage supplier engineering or process changes via - Change requests (PCR / ECR / ECN/IMCR)
• Cross Functional Coordination with internal CFT
• Support cost reduction, localization, and VA/VE initiatives

Qualifications

B.Tech / BE (Mechanical / Industrial / Automotive / Production)

General Requirements

• Cross Functional Coordination with internal CFT
• Support cost reduction, localization, and VA/VE initiatives
• Understanding of manufacturing processes (injection molding, stamping, casting, extrusion, assembly, surface treatment, etc.)
• Knowledge of tooling, fixtures, gauges, and automation basics
• Ability to evaluate process robustness and capacity. Conducting and interpreting: Supplier process audits, Layered Process Audits (LPA), Readiness and risk audits
• Strong working knowledge of Quality Systems & Standards, IATF 16949, ISO 9001, OEM specific customer requirements (CSR)
• Hands on experience with APQP phases, in depth knowledge of PPAP elements
• Ability to assess Run at Rate, pilot builds, and SOP readiness, knowledge of digital tools, Proficiency in MS Excel (data analysis, KPIs) PowerPoint (executive reviews)
• High ownership and accountability
