Deputy Manager EHS is responsible for ensuring a safe and compliant work environment by implementing and monitoring EHS policies, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring adherence to statutory safety regulations. The role focuses on preventing workplace incidents through proactive hazard identification, safety training, and continuous improvement initiatives while collaborating with internal teams and contractors to promote a strong safety culture across plant operations
What you’ll be doing:
1. Safety Compliance & Implementation:
· Ensure compliance with all statutory safety regulations and company safety policies.
· Implement and monitor EHS management systems across plant operations.
· Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
· Knowledge about ISO (9K, 14K, 45K and 50K) and implementation in EHS process.
2. Hazard Identification & Risk Management:
· Identify workplace hazards and implement corrective and preventive actions.
· Lead incident/accident investigations and ensure root cause analysis.
· Develop and implement risk mitigation plans.
3. Training & Awareness:
· Conduct safety training programs, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions.
· Promote safety culture and ensure employee engagement in safety initiatives.
· Develop safety communication materials and campaigns.
4. Emergency Preparedness
· Develop and maintain emergency response plans.
· Conduct mock drills (fire, evacuation, etc.).
· Coordinate with local authorities and emergency services.
5. Contractor Safety Management:
Ensure all contractors comply with safety standards.
Conduct safety induction and audits for contractors.
6. Data Analysis and Reporting:
Track safety KPIs (incident rates, near misses, etc.).
Prepare reports for management review.
Recommend continuous improvements based on data analysis.

o Bachelor’s degree (Engineering preferred) with Diploma in Industrial Safety.
o Post Graduation Diploma/Degree in Industrial Safety management.
o Strong knowledge of statutory compliance (Factories Act, etc.).
o Experience in EHS systems and audits.
o Good communication and leadership skills.
o Ability to drive safety culture across the organization.
o Minimum 6–10 years of experience in manufacturing/Industrial safety.
