Qualification BBA, MBA or BE/BS

Experience 4-6 years of relevant experience.

Overall Responsibilities

• To develop the inventory strategy keeping in view the sales/OWC targets & maintain sufficient inventories of materials & supplies to support smooth production operations.
• To determine the requirements of all direct & indirect materials through MRP keeping in view the lead times through extensive coordination with Procurement, Production Planning & Warehouses.
• To ensure that all raw materials are readily available on a plant before planned production dates with minimum stock levels & no resources should remain idle at any time due to material un-availability.
• To monitor & adjust inventory levels to meet production demands while continuously minimizing the SLOB inventories.
• To develop & maintain the safety stock levels of critical Raw Materials having longer lead times based on forecasts/budget & determine their re-order points, keeping in view that no material should be kept idle.
• To schedule & oversee the supplies of materials to get benefit of Vendor Managed Inventories/Consignment Stock at key supplier's end, with close coordination of procurement & production planning teams.
• To lead, guide & manage the Material Planning team by cascading the departmental objectives & setting clear performance standards.
• To ensure that no obsolete & SLOB materials are kept in inventory and business is left with minimum liabilities, in terms of OWC.
