Job Purpose: This position will be responsible for driving sales and profitability for identified territories & customers.

Sales Manager

Sales Planning & Execution

  • Sales planning by periodically reviewing targets and MIS
  • Provide inputs to Branch Head for annual Sales Planning
  • Conduct regular visits to the assigned accounts/customers to assess their requirements
  • Negotiate and finalize the terms of sales order (including value and price) within specified guardrails
  • Seek approvals for deviation to Standard Contracts
  • Execute the sales contract as per negotiation (IRM/Manual)
  • Follow up with customer for timely EMD
  • Follow up with customer/internal teams to ensure closure of contracts
  • Collate market demand from existing/new customers and provide inputs to Branch Head

Business Development, Customer Engagement and Market Intelligence

  • Conduct market mapping for assigned territory by identifying new customers and exploring further potential from existing customers
  • Capture market intelligence through multiple sources (field inputs, research, competition intelligence)
  • Voice of Customer (VoC) on coal quality (customer feedback)
  • Competitor scanning
  • Share market intelligence and competitor tracking on pricing and product details on regular basis to Branch Head
  • Coordinate with Branch Head or Zonal Head to monitor and ensure pro-active resolution of customer issues

MIS - Accurate Data Management

  • Timely reporting of deals to ensure hedging of currency and index (if applicable)

Digitisation and Automation

  • Support comprehensive digitization strategies to optimise operational efficiency
  • Innovate and implement automation solutions to support overall organisational goals/strategy

Education Qualification:

  • Post Graduate in any relevant field
