Job Description

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

  • Lead and manage maintenance activities for ABB Painting Robots, Sealer Robots, Paint Shop Utilities, and Electrical Systems to ensure high equipment availability and production efficiency.
  • Ensure smooth operation, troubleshooting, and optimization of ABB Painting Robot Systems and Sealer Robot Application Systems.
  • Drive preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities for robotic and automated Paint Shop equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain Paint Shop utility systems including: Air Compressors, Chillers, Air Handling Systems, Utility Distribution Equipment
  • Provide technical leadership in PLC troubleshooting, control system diagnostics, and electrical fault analysis.
  • Ensure optimal performance of automation systems, electrical panels, drives, sensors, and field devices.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives for enhancing equipment reliability, productivity, quality, and energy efficiency.
  • Analyze major breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Coordinate with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Utility teams to achieve operational targets.
  • Manage spare parts planning, maintenance budgets, AMC activities, and vendor performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and statutory requirements within the Paint Shop.
  • Prepare and review maintenance KPIs, downtime reports, MTBF/MTTR analysis, and improvement action plans.

Technical Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of ABB Painting Robots, robot programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Expertise in Sealer Robot Systems and robot application processes.
  • Good understanding of Automotive Paint Shop Processes, including pretreatment, painting, sealing, and finishing operations.
  • Sound knowledge of PLC systems, industrial automation, electrical controls, drives, sensors, and networking
  • Experience in troubleshooting electrical and automation-related breakdowns.
  • Knowledge of Paint Shop utility equipment such as Compressors, Chillers, Pumps, Blowers, and Utility Distribution Systems
  • Familiarity with TPM, Reliability Engineering, Preventive Maintenance, and Root Cause Analysis methodologies.
