Job Description

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

  • Ensure Preventive and Predictive Maintenance: Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and scheduled maintenance activities for BIW equipment such as robotic welding cells, spot welding guns, conveyors, fixtures, and automation systems to maximize equipment availability.
  • Breakdown Maintenance Management: Diagnose equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and restore production operations quickly.
  • Equipment Reliability Improvement: Monitor machine performance, analyze maintenance data, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, productivity, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Safety and Compliance Management: Ensure maintenance activities comply with safety standards, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, statutory requirements, and company EHS guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Spare Parts and Inventory Control: Manage critical spare parts inventory, coordinate with procurement teams, and ensure the availability of maintenance materials to prevent production disruptions.
  • Team Coordination and Technical Support: Lead and guide technicians, contractors, and maintenance personnel while providing technical support for electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, PLC, and robotic systems in the BIW shop.
  • Documentation and Continuous Improvement: Maintain maintenance records, equipment history, breakdown reports, and standard operating procedures (SOPs), while driving TPM, Kaizen, and lean manufacturing initiatives for operational excellence.
