What you’ll do:

Eaton announced, on June 11, 2026, the intent to combine its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) with a new company. We expect to complete this process by the end of the first half of 2027. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the transaction closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.

We are looking for an experienced Industrial Relations Deputy Manager to manage labor relations in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing setup. The role involves proactive engagement with unions, ensuring statutory compliance, and fostering a harmonious work environment that supports productivity and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage all aspects of industrial relations at the plant level.
• Handle union negotiations, long-term settlements, and collective bargaining agreements.
• Maintain strong liaison with labor departments, government authorities, and local bodies.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws: Factories Act, Industrial Disputes Act, CLRA, etc.
• Manage disciplinary actions, domestic inquiries, and grievance redressal mechanisms.
• Monitor labor trends and proactively mitigate potential disruptions (e.g., strikes, go-slows).
• Support HR in driving employee engagement, welfare, and communication initiatives.
• Represent the company in labor court proceedings and audits.
• Drive continuous improvement in IR practices aligned with business goals.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in HR, Labor Law, or Industrial Relations.
• 8–15 years of relevant experience in the auto or auto components industry.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of Indian labor laws and union dynamics.
• Proven experience in handling wage settlements and labor unrest.
• Fluency in Marathi and English is essential.
• Strategic thinker with strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple stakeholders.
• Exposure to lean manufacturing or TPM environments is a plus.
