Job Description

Support the Registered Manager in the daily management of the residential home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted standards and providing leadership to the care team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the recruitment, training, and supervision of staff
  • Ensure all care is child-centred and meets statutory requirements
  • Support in inspections and audits
  • Manage rotas, risk assessments, and incident reporting
  • Act as Manager in their absence

Qualifications and Essential Requirements:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or working towards it)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in residential childcare
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation (Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards)
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills
  • Enhanced DBS check
