Scope of responsibilities -
"Responsible for end‑to‑end GST compliance and reporting, including timely and accurate filing of monthly and annual returns (GSTR‑1, GSTR‑3B, GSTR‑9 & 9C). Ensure robust Input Tax Credit (ITC) tracking, IMS actions, reconciliation with 2B data, and resolution of discrepancies and pending actions.
Handle division‑wise GST accounting entries in SAP, perform periodic GST related GL reconciliations, and provide data for MIS and statutory audits. Provide support in collating data and information for departmental notices, audits, and appeal proceedings, in coordination with internal teams. Handle IGCRD -Customs compliance."
Key Responsibilities:
1. Monthly Compliance
Preparation/filing of GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B filings including Input Tax Credit mismatches and reconciling Revenue with Books of accounts.
Ensuring claim of eligible ITC and reviewing blocked ITC.
Perform IMS activity, including invoice validation and matching
Partnering with finance, Supply chain and operations teams to ensure seamless GST compliance across all functions.
Ensure correct classification of product across divisions
Track and report unresolved items with escalation where necessary.
"2. Tax Postings and GL reconciliation "
Post tax payment and other adjustment entries division wise within timelines
Perform GST GL reconciliation (including RCM ledgers)
Identify discrepancies and take corrective actions for resolution.
Maintain records of inter-divisional entries and ensure it matches with data available on GSTN portal
"3. Litigation, notices and departmental support"
Handle departmental audits/ investigations / Enquiry and appeal & assesment proceddings
Draft appropriate responses to notices & queries from Tax department
Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants for timely responses.
Maintain trackers for notices, submissions, and status of cases.
Ensure proper documentation & records
"4. MIS and Audit Support"
Provide data for MIS
Provide data for Statutory, Cost, and Tax Audits in a timely basis.
Respond to auditor queries in a timely manner and close the same.
