Manufacturing
The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline. An advanced degree or professional certifications related to quality management, lean manufacturing, or process engineering will be advantageous.
Academic background must demonstrate strong fundamentals in manufacturing processes, quality assurance principles, and engineering design methodologies relevant to high-volume assembly operations.
Additional training or coursework in project management, financial budgeting for capital projects, and new product introduction (NPI) processes will be considered a significant asset.
Commitment to continuous professional development and staying abreast of emerging manufacturing technologies and quality standards is expected.
Candidates should have between 5 to 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the agricultural machinery or heavy equipment industry. This experience should encompass a broad understanding of manufacturing operations, quality systems, and process engineering techniques.
Within this timeframe, at least 3 to 4 years should be specifically focused on process engineering or manufacturing engineering roles where the individual has actively contributed to process design, optimization, and quality improvements.
A proven track record of working on cross-functional projects involving production, quality, and engineering teams is essential, demonstrating the ability to collaborate effectively and deliver tangible business outcomes.
Experience in handling capital project budgeting, lean manufacturing practices, and productivity enhancements will be highly regarded.
Critical experience includes proficiency in implementing quality assurance tools such as Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and effective management of Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) systems to drive continuous quality improvement.
Demonstrated expertise in process planning for both modifications in existing products and the launch of new products within tractor assembly or similar complex manufacturing settings is vital.
Hands-on experience in capital expenditure planning and execution, with a focus on technology upgrades aimed at enhancing productivity and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
Deep knowledge of lean manufacturing methodologies, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and Total Quality Management (TQM) implementation is essential to effectively lead process improvements and innovation initiatives.
Proven skills in leading cross-functional teams through complex problem-solving, driving cost-saving initiatives, and maintaining adherence to production schedules will directly influence success in this role.
Strong communication skills and proficiency in documenting technical process standards and training materials will support effective knowledge sharing and long-term process stability.
