Job Description

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

  • Experience of 5+ years in Brake system.
  • Part Concept readiness and Development drawing releases on CATIA and DMU finalisation
  • Develop Pneumatic / Hydraulic actuated Brake System in order to meet targets / specs based on QFD / RFE studies by working out systems keeping in mind cost / quality requirements at Vehicle level.
  • Create project plan for new projects having Brake System adaptation and work out product and project cost by calculating the costs based on first principle basis and estimate capital investment
  • Create along with CAE the CAE DVP for Brake system to ensure robustness of the systems by ensuring that the DVP requirements are met.
  • Build prototype assemblies for design verification on test rig and at vehicle level as per Customer Input Requirements to address DFA / DFM issues. Parts to be procured by coordinating between Materials Management and vendor.
  • Validate the prototype parts to ensure that the performance and reliability targets set during concept phase are met by testing the prototype assemblies as per agreed DVP based on RWUP.
  • Resolution of issues arising out of the validation trials by doing root cause analysis and putting the corrective action in place, to ensure a first time right product at SOP
  • To handle customer complaints with respect to brakes
  • To co-ordinate with supplier for development of brakes
  • To ensure testing of brakes as per laid norms
  • To ensure compliance of all safety norms as per Govt regulation
