About the School:

Northgate is a local authority-maintained pupil referral unit in Edgware, Barnet, supporting

young people aged 13 to 19 with mental health challenges who are unable to access mainstream education. Based at Edgware Community Hospital, we also provide the educational service to the Beacon Centre, a Tier 4 adolescent CAMHS inpatient and day unit. Every young person follows a personalised curriculum designed to help them re-engage with learning and move forward with their lives.

About You:

• An ambitious senior or middle leader ready to step up, or an experienced deputy seeking
• a uniquely rewarding role.
• A strong practitioner with a track record of improving outcomes for vulnerable learners.
• Confidence to take on, or develop into, the designated roles of SENCO, DSL, Designated Teacher and Exams Officer (training and support provided where needed).
• A deep commitment to safeguarding, with the warmth, resilience and organisation these responsibilities demand.
• The ability to work closely with a multi-disciplinary team and health, social care and mainstream partners.
