Job Purpose:



Position of Dy. Quality Control Manager (Dy. QCM) is a requirement of DGCA, mandatory for starting the ATF Business. QCM and Dy. QCM are the bridge between the Approved organisation (Organisation approved for supplying ATF in Indian Airports by the DGCA) and the regulator. This role is responsible for maintaining the quality of the product at refinery stage till the time product reaches the end customer and to ensure that all the manualised activities are carried out in the field with documentary evidence.

Another major aspect of this role is to get involve with the Indian Regulators for getting the approvals for new locations / tanks, as required.

The role will also involve ensuring Quality Assurance by continuous monitoring and surveillance audits of the supply points, including the refinery, terminal and aviation fuelling stations.

Knowledge sharing and trainings of new and existing officers as mandated by the DGCA is also an important function of a Dy QCM.

1. Marketing Quality Operations

  • Lead quality operations across all ATF supply locations including refinery, terminals, and aviation fuelling stations (AFS).
  • Conduct and oversee quality inspections at terminals and supply points to ensure compliance with aviation fuel standards.
  • Manage and supervise Vadinar ATF laboratory operations ensuring accuracy, reliability, and adherence to testing protocols.

2. Industry Engagement & Regulatory Interface

  • Represent Nayara Energy in industry forums to safeguard organizational interests and influence standards.
  • Liaise actively with DGCA and other regulatory bodies for certifications, approvals, and amendments.
  • Drive strategic collaboration with other oil companies for operational and quality alignment.

3. Statutory Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements involving DGCA, CEMILAC, DGAQA and related authorities.
  • Monitor changes in regulations (IS, DefStan, JIG standards) and implement updates within operations.
  • Anticipate future regulatory changes and proactively integrate them into operational processes.

4. Training, Certification & Customer Quality Assurance

  • Design and deliver technical training, certification, and refresher programs for aviation personnel as mandated.
  • Develop training modules, learning feedback inputs (LFI), and ensure competency tracking.
  • Lead resolution of customer complaints related to product quality through technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

5. Process Development & Capability Enhancement

  • Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen QA/QC systems across the aviation fuel supply chain.
  • Build technical and behavioral capabilities through continuous learning and development initiatives.
  • Enhance operational efficiency through structured process standardization and best practice adoption.

6. Management Review & Strategic Execution

  • Develop and manage the annual management review plan for quality processes.
  • Drive implementation of strategic changes aligned with regulatory updates (CAR) and organizational priorities.
  • Monitor effectiveness of quality systems and recommend improvements for sustained performance.
