Job Description

Skills:-

  • Lead execution of C&I commissioning activities for thermal power plant units.
  • Plan and oversee pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities
  • Ensure completion of loop checking, calibration, and functional testing of instruments and control systems.
  • Coordinate with EPC contractors, OEMs, and cross-functional teams
  • Handle DCS commissioning, logic checking, and system integration
  • Participate in cold commissioning, hot commissioning, synchronization, and trial runs
  • Identify and resolve technical issues during commissioning phase
  • Ensure implementation of interlocks, alarms, and protection systems
  • Monitor adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and safety norms
  • Prepare and maintain commissioning reports and documentation

  • Support smooth handover to operations team

    Competencies
    • Expertise in DCS systems (ABB / Siemens / Emerson / Yokogawa, etc.)
    • Strong knowledge of PLC, SCADA, instrumentation systems
    • Experience in coal-based thermal power plant commissioning
    • Good understanding of control logic, interlocks, and protection systems
    • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
    • Effective coordination and team management abilities
    • Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards
      • Timely and successful commissioning of C&I systems
      • Compliance with quality and safety standards
      • Achievement of project milestones
      • Seamless transition from commissioning to operation
Education

B.E. / B.Tech in Instrumentation / C&I / Electronics Engineering

Experience:-

  • 15–20 years of experience in thermal power plant projects
  • Strong exposure to C&I commissioning activities
