Our brand, Lennor Metier Consulting, a DOLE-licensed headhunting and recruitment agency in the Philippines, is proud to partner with a Diversified Social Enterprise Company in their search for a Deputy General Managerbased in Taguig

Salary Range ₱150,000 - ₱200,000

The role

The Deputy General Manager is responsible for driving the day-to-day operational and commercial performance of the assigned business cluster. The role translates strategic direction into executable plans, ensures operational excellence, delivers financial and business targets, and leads cross-functional initiatives that support sustainable growth. Depending on organizational requirements, the Deputy General Manager may be assigned to one of the following business clusters:

Group 1: Engineering & Construction + Energy & Power Generation

- Oversee project execution, engineering operations, plant performance, and asset

reliability.

- Ensure compliance with engineering, construction, environmental, and energy regulations.

- Promote operational safety and project delivery excellence.

Group 2: Agri-business + Logistics & Transportation

- Drive operational efficiency across agricultural production, logistics, fleet management,

warehousing, and supply chain operations.

- Optimize resource utilization, distribution networks, and productivity.

- Ensure compliance with transportation, agricultural, and environmental regulations.

Group 3: Hospitality & Food

- Lead hospitality operations to achieve excellence in guest experience, food quality, and

service delivery.

- Improve operational profitability, customer satisfaction, and brand standards.

- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, hospitality, and quality standards.

The position collaborates closely with business leaders to strengthen operational efficiency,

customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, organizational capability, and overall business

performance while preparing for future General Manager responsibilities.

Your Responsibilities:

Business Operations Management

  • Overseeing daily operations across the assigned business cluster

  • Ensure operational plans are effectively executed to achieve business objectives.

  • Monitor operational performance and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all operating units.
Strategic Execution
  • Translate business strategies into operational action plans.
  • Lead the implementation of strategic initiatives and transformation projects.
  • Monitor progress of strategic programs and recommend necessary adjustments.
  • Support business expansion and growth initiatives.
Financial Performance Management
  • Assist in achieving revenue, profitability, and cost management targets.
  • Monitor budget utilization and operational expenditures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
  • Review business performance reports and recommend action plans.
Operational Excellence & Process Improvement
  • Establish operational standards and performance metrics.
  • Improve productivity, quality, service delivery, and resource utilization.
  • Drive Lean, continuous improvement, and process optimization initiatives.
  • Ensure operational risks are proactively managed.
Customer & Stakeholder Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service excellence.
  • Represent the organization during operational and business meetings as delegated.
People Leadership & Organizational Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop department heads and operational leaders.
  • Promote a high-performance, accountable, and collaborative culture.
  • Support succession planning and leadership development initiatives.
  • Ensure workforce capability aligns with business requirements.
Governance, Compliance and Risk Management
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations.
  • Promote a culture of safety, ethics, and corporate governance.
  • Monitor operational risks and implement mitigation measures.
  • Support audit and compliance activities.
Business Development & Innovation
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements, market expansion, and business growth.
  • Support the evaluation of new projects, investments, and strategic partnerships.
  • Encourage innovation and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Benchmark industry best practices to enhance competitiveness.

What we're looking for:

Educational background

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Industrial Engineering, Engineering, Agriculture, Hospitality Management, Hotel & Restaurant Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or any related discipline.
  • A Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Management, or a related field is highly preferred.
Work Experience
  • At least 8 years of progressive management experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership or operations management role.
  • Proven experience managing multi-functional teams, business operations, or profit centers.
  • Industry experience relevant to the assigned cluster is highly preferred:
    • Engineering, Construction, or Energy
    • Agriculture, Logistics, or Transportation
    • Hospitality, Food, or related service industries
  • Demonstrated success in driving operational excellence, financial performance, and organizational growth.
