About the Role:
We are hiring a Deputy Field Director to manage our petitioning operation in Salisbury, MD. The Deputy Field Director will recruit, train, and manage a team of local petitioners to gather signatures from registered voters to qualify an initiative for an upcoming election.
This is an exciting opportunity to make direct democracy work for your community. By collecting signatures, you will help give voters the chance to decide on important issues that affect their lives. This campaign will empower local voices and ensure that residents of Salisbury have a say in shaping their future.
They will work within the director team to build an office to scale from the ground up. The Deputy Field Director is expected to go into the field themselves several days per week to collect petitions, train staff, and lead by example. They must also communicate long and short term goals to staff and manage campaign reporting. The Deputy Field Director manages petitioners and reports to the Lead Field Director.
We are hiring immediately. This position will run from end of May 2026 through mid June 2026

The salary range for this position is $1,146 - $1,412 per week. We offer a generous benefits package, including paid vacation and sick leave, health insurance, and hands-on training. At the end of the campaign, there may be opportunities for advancement and bonuses.
