Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“the Club”) is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. The Job

• Work as Product Owner (PO) for WP operation initiatives (OIs)
• Set strategic vision and business goals for the OIs' total product solutions, with measurable metrics for effective product tracking
• Create and manage a single, prioritised product backlog and define Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) of the total product solution
• By utilising big data and generating customer insights, develop a deep understanding of target customer personas and craft customer user stories to deliver exceptional customer-centric products
• Leveraging quantitative and qualitative insight, designs and develops prototypes that can be iteratively improved together with our customers
• Resolve conflicts of business requirements among POs for large-scale products and assume overall product ownership across the scrum teams
• Work closely with Scrum Masters and support IT teams to resolve resource contention, so that the Release Plan of the scrum teams can be deployed on time and efficiently
• Provide guidance and support to Quality Assurance teams in developing effective testing strategy and achievable plan for wagering products
• Collaborate with stakeholders such as Football Wagering, Public and External Affairs, in product launch planning to ensure smooth rollout and ongoing operational stability
• Assist EM to manage and prioritise the wagering product roadmap to achieve the product strategy and maximise the deliverables
• Be able to work autonomously with minimal supervision
• Gear up the team for the Product Owner role to lead scrum team(s) to deliver total product solutions by agile-based product development methodology
• Provide support to other AEs and help to coach all other junior staff to deal with the challenges of product delivery
• Develop and coach all direct reports appropriately to perform needed duties and be able to step in for challenges and difficult tasks when required
• Assist EM to manage team resources and coordinate with other AEs to maximise support for product delivery
• Ensures compliance with Responsible Gambling Policy and all stipulated legal requirements pertaining to wagering, thereby protecting the integrity of the Club's business
• Undertakes other duties assigned by Line Manager

About You

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Business, or related disciplines
• Project Management Professional Certification preferred
• PMI Agile Certification preferred
• Extensive experience in Product Management and Development
• A minimum of 10 years' experience with a proven record of large-scale system migration and system project management
• Significant experience as key user manager for technology-related projects
• Experience in system migration planning and defining UAT testing approaches in the wagering, finance, airlines or logistics field
• Experience in agile and waterfall IT development cycles
• Experience in the operation of the wagering industry preferred
