Hearst UK operates an in office policy with flexible Friday's. Our office is based at House of Hearst, 30 Panton Street, St James's, London, SW1Y 4AJ, where teams collaborate in person and connect across brands and functions.
Salary - Circa £65,000- Salary is dependent on experience and will be assessed in line with the candidate’s skills, knowledge, and relevant expertise.
As the Deputy Editor of Harper’s Bazaar, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the editorial vision of one of the world’s most distinguished fashion and culture brands.
Reporting directly to the Editor-in-Chief, you will be their senior editorial partner and the key person responsible for the smooth running of the magazine and its editorial operation. You will help set Bazaar’s agenda, oversee workflow from planning through to publication, ensure the highest editorial standards are maintained and act as a key decision-maker in the Editor-in-Chief’s absence.
You will contribute across print and digital, attending daily digital stand-ups and working closely with colleagues across the wider business to ensure Bazaar’s content is considered, consistent and compelling across every platform. You will also play a leading role in Bazaar’s events and commercial projects, and oversee the development of the brand’s membership proposition.
As a senior leader within the team, you will manage and support editorial colleagues, including the Membership Director, and help create an environment in which ambitious ideas, excellent journalism and high standards can thrive.
This is a role for an editor who is exceptionally organised, instinctive and full of ideas, with the authority and experience to run a high-profile editorial operation while understanding what makes Harper’s Bazaar distinctive.
