The successful candidate will serve as the Deputy Director of Telecommunications Contracts & Negotiations reporting to the Telecom Contract Unit within the Management and Budget division.
Responsibilities will include:
- Manage the Telcom unit’s day to day operation and workload related to contract and vendor management;
- Supervise the telecom contract managers, interns and consultants;
- Manage the Citywide Telecom Enterprise Agreements (TEA), including the Contract Management, amendments, renewals, contract max increase and changes orders to add/amend services in the form of Service Specific Terms and Pricing (SSTP) as well as to update the contract attachments;
- Oversee Vendor Management including assisting the Telecom Stakeholders and oversea the Vendor’s performance from ordering, provisioning to support and invoicing;
- Report and oversee the Vendor’s quarterly, sales/service management and stewardship calls, vendor’s yearly performance evaluation, conduct the initial review and process agencies requests and address their concerns, promote, assist in updating the OTI Citywide Telecom contracts policies and processes;
- Manage telecom forums and vendor webinars;
- Oversee the Citywide initiatives related to telecom services including the discontinuance of services and migration, copper to fiber replacement, optimization and cost savings/avoidance and assist with services transition to IP/NexGen services;
- Report and aggregate the Citywide telecommunications services and create a monthly reporting dashboard and presentations for executives and outreach/letters to vendors and Telecom Stakeholders; oversee and assist in the Citywide MSA inventory, portal management, circuits and rate/MET pricing review/analysis, data consolidation, coordination and support the Telecom operation, audit/reporting, billing and the Telecom Expense Management activities; assist legal with any request, response or corresponding with the FCC and PSC;
- Oversee the contract compliance activities and projects including the Rate Reviews and benchmarking, Attachment reports, Method of Procedures, Service Orders and Invoicing/billing escalation, Key Personnel;
- Assist in processing ServiceNow, Passport and the Req System requests/in-take;
- Perform special technology-related projects, as assigned.
HOURS/SHIFT
Day - Due to the duties of this position in a 24/7 operation, candidate may be required to work overtime and/or various shifts such as weekends and/or nights/evenings.
