
The Enoch Pratt Free Library has an opening for a dynamic and strategic leader to serve as Deputy Director of Social Impact Services.
This position leads a coordinated network of programs and services that position the library as a key access point for community-based resources. It advances equity-centered services through community partnerships and cross-divisional collaboration, addressing critical community needs including mental health and wellness, food access, legal services, energy assistance, and more.
This position works Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with occasional evenings and weekends required. Regular travel to library locations throughout Baltimore city is also required. This position reports to the Director of Programming.

of Duties:
Provides strategic leadership to the library’s social impact initiatives, establishing goals aligned with the library’s mission, priorities, and community needs.
Oversees the implementation of social impact programs and services including Peer Navigators, Social Worker in the Library, Lawyer in the Library, Wellness at the Pratt, and Healthcare Access Maryland, in addition to the Pratt Free Market and community refrigerators and pantries.
Develops and implements program evaluation measures, monitors program performance, and utilizes data-driven approaches to strengthen social impact programs and services.
Manages and administers program budgets. Supports grant development, reporting, and funding sustainability strategies.
Cultivates and maintains strategic partnerships with government agencies, academic institutions, and community organizations. Serves as the primary liaison for partner organizations and establishes MOUs.
Integrates social impact programs and service providers into branch operations and supports consistent, high-quality delivery across multiple locations.
Convenes partners regularly to review outcomes, strengthen collaboration, and guide program development.
Directly supervises, coaches and evaluates three team supervisors, while providing leadership and coordination for a broader network of staff and contractual service providers across multiple locations.
Ensures accuracy of staff schedules and timekeeping.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Six (6) years of experience in social impact services or community-based resources at non-profits, health services, social services, school counseling, or intervention services.
One (1) year of employee supervisory experience.
Authorized to operate a motor vehicle in the city of Baltimore, and have access to reliable transportation to travel between multiple work locations.
Physical Requirements: Physical exertion such as standing; or recurring activities such as bending, crouching, reaching; pushing loaded book trucks; or recurring lifting of moderately heavy items such as boxes of books or journals.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences, Human Services, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt in a dynamic environment.
Ability to build and sustain partnerships with community organizations, government agencies, or institutional partners.
Experience using data to evaluate programs, monitor performance, and inform decision-making.
Knowledge of emerging trends and issues in community-based service delivery.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
