  • Base Salary $162,528 + 17% superannuation

It is an exciting time to join the Alumni and Supporter Experience team that provides an innovative engagement program for a community ofalmost 500,000people.  

To support our ambitions for enhanced alumni and donor engagement, we are investing inthe team’scapacity and now seek a Deputy Director (Alumni Engagement and Benefits)to drivemeaningful engagement with our diverse community.

The role directs the creation of meaningfulengagementstrategiesthat ignite alumni pride, build strong community relations, garnerbrand awareness, and serve as a motivational driver for alumni to reconnect with the University of Sydney.  

About the opportunity

We now have a fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated and passionate Deputy Director (Alumni Engagement and Benefits) to leadthe Alumni Relationship team to deliver high value and meaningful engagement with our diverse global alumni community. The role is responsible for building and driving engagement with alumni portfolios, including pipeline engagement strategies that effectively nurturelong term relationships with our mostprominent and influential alumni.

We are looking for a great communicator and relationship builder who can take a creative approach toidentifyand maximise opportunities tolead the team and tobuild strong connections with a portfolio of alumni ranging from recent graduates to esteemed leaders. 

TheRelationshipManagement teamis anintegral conduit between the central Alumni and Supporter Experience team and colleagues in the Faculty and Schools. The four Relationship Managers have distinct portfolios and priority projects and each report to the Director, Alumni Experience.

  • has proven experience in managing high-value relationshipswith alumni, donors, andstakeholders,including academic partnersto establish and implementthe annual engagement plan

  • presents with highly developed emotional intelligenceand exceptional interpersonal skills

  • hasprovenexperienceidentifyingandleveragingopportunities that drive benefit for members or stakeholders such astangible alumni benefits

  • is analyticalin their thinking and has an ability to research, formulate and present high-level oral briefings and presentation

  • candemonstrateproject management skills

  • experience designing and delivering partnership proposals, alumni events, or engagement strategies.

A key aspect of the role is tolead thefourrelationshipmanagers in theirliaison withDeans and Heads of School within the assigned portfolio toexecute onthe annual engagement planwith regularly reporting on engagementmetrics.
