A Deputy County Clerk is a deputized employee of the County Clerk who performs acts that, under the seal of the County Court, become the official act of the County Clerk. A Deputy County Clerk acts as registrar, recorder, and custodian of Official Public Records, instruments, court pleadings, and other documents that are part of any cause of action filed in the County Courts at Law of Bell County, Texas. The Deputy County Clerk shall perform in the name of the County Clerk all official acts of the office of County Clerk, including but not limited to specialized tasks requiring application of department procedures and state law regulations.
The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this position. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the position as necessary.
