Job Description

Department: Productivity Support Department (PSD)

Location: Stadium Way, South Elmsall.

Salary (£): £29,847 - £41,316 - dependant on skills and experience.

Hours: 36 (Mon-Thu 08:00-16:00 / Fri 08:00-15:45)

This role supports the processing and reporting of bonus payments across our logistics operations. You’ll help ensure that all bonus data is accurate, processed on time, and aligned with business standards. Bonus payments total over £12 million per year, covering 8,000+ colleagues across:

  • Warehousing - Team Members (Site Specific Schemes)
  • Warehousing - Grade 3 Managers
  • Total Platform Operations
  • Regional Service Centres
  • Product Quality & Compliance
  • Next Furniture Manufacturing
  • LGV & Van Drivers

You’ll work closely with your team to maintain data accuracy, prepare reports, and respond to queries from across the business. This role offers great exposure to data analysis, payroll processes, and operational reporting — ideal for someone looking to develop their career in data, analytics, or business operations.

Main Duties (about the role):

Bonus and Payroll Support

  • Assist in preparing and checking weekly and monthly bonus data for payroll
  • Help ensure payment information is accurate and submitted on time
  • Support the resolution of any bonus or payment-related queries

Data and Reporting

  • Collect and organise productivity and performance data from multiple sources
  • Support the production of regular management information (MI) and performance reports
  • Maintain and update key reporting files (finance, KPI, MI, Google Sheets, etc.)
  • Carry out data checks to ensure accuracy and consistency

Quality and Accuracy

  • Support senior team members with data validation and quality assurance
  • Help investigate and correct data issues or anomalies

Stakeholder Support

  • Work closely with internal teams (Payroll, Finance, Operations) to share and verify information
  • Respond to ad-hoc reporting or data requests professionally and accurately

Team Collaboration and Development

  • Work as part of a collaborative team, supporting your analysts and the wider team
  • Contribute to process improvements and team initiatives

Projects and Continuous Improvement

  • Assist with small projects and business initiatives when required
  • Suggest ideas for improving data processes and report quality

Candidate Requirements (About you):

Essential:

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Good working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets (pivot tables, lookups, formulas, etc.)
  • Organised and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Comfortable working with numbers and large data sets
  • Willingness to learn and develop new technical and analytical skills
  • Some experience with reporting, data analysis, or payroll processes (desirable, not essential)

Desirable:

  • Experience of leading and motivating a high performing team with proven, time sensitive results
  • A background in BI, MI or developing reports
  • Experience in warehousing / distribution
  • A working knowledge of operatives’ bonus and productivity related incentive schemes either in Next Distribution or a similar environment
