Job Description

MISSION / PURPOSE OF POSITION

Manage the Production Area - Hot Preparation in alignment with Area Manager regarding:

  • Planning and executing of Production Plan
  • Managing of machine, equipment & material
  • Managing of people responsibilities & development
  • Controlling of costs and budget
  • Ensuring safety, 5S

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY / TASKS

ESH

  • Issue procedures and work instructions, ensure implementation of measures, and maintain controls
  • Raise awareness, ensure regular ESH training and provide information about ESH responsibilities and duties
  • Ensure immediate notification and response, and initiate preventive measures in case of unsafe or polluting hazards
  • Demonstrate exemplary personal behavior in ESH and motivate others
  • Fosters a culture of ESH awareness and continuous improvement by (1) enforcing safety rules, regulations, and company standards, (2) conducting regular safety checks, toolbox talks, and reporting, (3) promoting a zero-incident culture and supporting safety initiatives, (4) preparing reaction plan in alignment with ESH requirements.

PRODUCTION

  • KPI monitoring and fulfillment
  • Production management: Machines, Equipment, Material
  • Participate in external and internal audits, develop and implement improvement plans
  • Ensures the machine are handed-over to the support departments as committed for Corrective / Preventive Maintenance, Calibration and Project. Tracks the progress and ensures the machines are handed-over to Production as planned within safety & quality requirements.

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

  • Shift Management: Pattern & People (blue collar & department specialists)
  • Coordinate with HR regarding people development (recruitment, training, performance, potential)
  • Team communication and alignment
  • Leads and Coaches the Shift Leaders
  • Collaborates with the Shift Leaders & support departments to review, improve & perform mandatory checklists.
  • Steps-in to resolve urgent operational challenges and escalates Machines and/or Quality impacts on the Delivery target (time & quantity) to the Production Area Manager if the production planning is delayed. The escalation speed shall be aligned with the machine criticality for the plant.
  • Coordinates people development (ePR release, recruitment, skills matrix & training, performance, potential) with Human Relations according to the Competency Management System.

QUALITY MANAGEMENT

  • Communicates with QM regarding legal and corporate standards as well as customer requirements
  • Participates in external and internal audits, develops and implements improvement plans
  • Coordinates the containment actions and problem resolution in case of customer complaints and/or internal rejects with Production, Engineering, Process and Quality team
  • Represents the Business Team during internal and/or external audits and coordinates the definition of improvement measures to close the findings with the actions’ owner (CBT2 Core & Extended team).
  • Writes-up, and steers the CBT2/CBT1 members, to define comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions aligned with FMEA and Control Plan requirements.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Process/Engineering or Manufacturing or Science, distinctive results (above average results).
  • Professional Experience: min. 1 year experience in people management, min 3 years manufacturing experience.
  • Managing several teams up to 70 people in shift system, preferred 24/7 shift.
  • Project and/or Process Experience: Project Management.
  • Leadership Experience: People Development, Task Delegation, Shift Management.
  • Intercultural / International Experience: Work experience in international groups & projects.
  • Good command of English.
