Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Reporting to: Area Manager

At Evri, our vision is to lead the way in creating responsible delivery experiences for everyone, everywhere.

We’re looking for an experienced and driven Depot General Manager to lead our Enfield operation. This is a key leadership role with full accountability for depot performance, bringing together people, service, cost, safety and compliance to deliver a high-performing operation.

The role

As Depot General Manager, you’ll take ownership of the overall performance of the Enfield Depot, providing clear leadership and direction to your management and operational teams.

You’ll be responsible for delivering against service and financial targets while creating an environment where colleagues are engaged, accountable and able to perform at their best.

Reporting to the Area Manager, you’ll use operational insight and performance data to identify opportunities, solve problems and drive continuous improvement across the depot.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Leading the overall depot operation, providing direction and support to your management and operational teams.
  • Delivering against service, quality, cost and productivity targets.
  • Managing depot budgets and maintaining strong financial and operational control.
  • Creating a high-performance culture focused on accountability, engagement and continuous improvement.
  • Using management information and operational data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Driving improvements across service, efficiency, productivity and cost.
  • Ensuring compliance with all Health, Safety, Environment and Security requirements.
  • Maintaining high operational standards and ensuring appropriate action is taken where performance falls below expectations.
  • Working closely with key stakeholders across the wider business to deliver operational objectives.
  • Managing priorities, projects and deliverables within a fast-paced environment.
  • Ensuring the depot is effectively planned and resourced to meet changing operational requirements.

What we’re looking for

You’ll be an experienced operational leader who is comfortable taking full ownership of a busy operation and leading through others.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

  • Strong leadership experience within a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Experience leading and developing large operational teams through a management structure.
  • Proven experience managing operational budgets, performance and targets.
  • A strong understanding of service, cost, productivity and operational KPIs.
  • The ability to use data and management information to drive decisions and performance improvements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the confidence to make decisions in a pressurised environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • An understanding of transport regulations and operational compliance.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Experience within logistics, parcel, distribution, transport or a similarly fast-paced operation would be advantageous.

Ready to lead?

If you’re an experienced operational leader who knows how to get the best from people, improve performance and take ownership of a complex operation, we’d love to hear from you.
