JOB SUMMARY

The Deposit Quality Control Specialist examines a variety of new account files. They review all types of personal and business accounts to ensure that files comply with all bank policies and regulatory requirements. The Deposit Quality Control Specialist identifies mistakes and flags them with the appropriate “tickler” and supports in reviewing reports and scanning files into the appropriate system. They support process improvement through AI-driven tools, automation, and technology-assisted controls.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

The duties listed below may not include all responsibilities that the person in this role may be asked to perform. Incumbent may be required to perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Ensures all CIP required information, and documentation were obtained by the new accounts representative.
  • Verifies products, codes, and customer’s information on new and updated files in a timely manner.
  • Adds or deletes ticklers on system on new accounts files when errors are detected or cleared.
  • Reviews new DDA & DDA file maintenance reports daily.
  • Reviews new CD & CD file maintenance reports daily.
  • Reviews new SDB & SDB file maintenance reports daily.
  • Scans new account files into Director promptly.
  • Verifies that all new accounts files were scanned into Director.
  • Performs audits of new accounts reviewed and file maintenance.
  • Routinely performs maintenance on accounts.
  • Responds to employee inquiries regarding account ticklers.
  • Prepares and mails CD Interest checks to customers
  • Review of various reports for proper maintenance and compliance.
  • Prepares and mails Truth-In-Savings Disclosures as needed on product changes and upon CD maturities on terms 12 months or greater.
  • Assists with IOLTA interest reporting.
  • Provides phone and email support to internal customers.
  • Supports process improvements using AI-driven tools, automation, and technology-assisted controls.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Individual abilities and organizational limitations may result in some deviation from these guidelines.

  • High School diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree or some college a plus.
  • 1 year of prior banking experience required.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, the Windows environment, and internet research skills.
  • Able to adapt to constant change and periods of fast-paced situations while sticking to and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent time management and organizational solving skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while performing assigned duties.
  • Ability to be flexible and adjust to changing schedules.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels.
  • Ability to always maintain a high degree of ethical standards and complete confidentiality.
