We are excited to announce a critical opening for a Deposit Product Management Lead Analyst, Vice President (VP) This senior-level position will be instrumental in shaping the future of our deposit products across the region. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting strategy and solely performing activities across Risk and Control items such as Depositor Protection Regulatory reporting, Client Money tagging and Withholding tax. Additionally, this role will be responsible for the development of product plans, strategies, and tactics while coordinating product life-cycles in coordination with the broader Product Management team. The overall objective of this role is to lead the product launch, product development and expansion to new markets, increase market share and obtain competitive position
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and implement Depositor Protection regulations across the MEA cluster, ensuring adherence to local requirements and lead currency expansion within deposit product offerings.
- Act as a Product SME for Deposit products across the Middle East & Africa (MEA) cluster, Leads development and launch of Third Party Funds (TPF) including Client Money Accounts (CMA) and Collateralized accounts in MEA, in the broadest sense (i.e., orchestrate go-to market, legal diligence, continuous operational improvement, budget/investment spend, partnerships, training, support, etc.).
- Lead Withholding Tax (WHT) optimization project across MEA and ensure adherence to local regulatory requirements
- Act as a Product SME for standard liquidity product offerings such as Deposits, Time Deposits, Overdrafts, credit interest and other liquidity solutions across the MEA cluster
- Ensure product offerings and related processes are in strict compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Contribute to the strategic product roadmaps for core deposit products, including development, launches, and marketing efforts to maximize benefit and identify market trends within the MEA cluster.
- Execute client value propositions, positioning, segmentation, pricing, targeting, and channel strategies to achieve preferred partner status for deposit products.
- Drive product enhancements and updates to vision/roadmap for deposit products, incorporating market trends and client needs to maximize client satisfaction and improve business outcomes.
- Collaborate effectively on Corrective Action Plans (CAPs), defining product propositions, interim processes, and remediation activities aligned with strategic roadmaps for deposit products.
- Partner with Technology and Agile teams to develop strategic automation and process enhancement solutions to reduce implementation turnaround time (TAT) for deposit product initiatives.
- Appropriately assess and mitigate risk in all business decisions, safeguarding Citigroup's reputation, clients, and assets, ensuring compliance with laws, policies, and transparently managing control issues specific to deposit products.
- Align stakeholders around strategic initiatives and key decisions, and facilitate effective executive reviews with minimal support/oversight.
- Recommend and deliver process improvements in collaboration with onboarding, operations, technology, and other teams to enhance the efficiency of deposit product management.
Qualifications
- Experience: 6-8 years of relevant experience in product management within financial services, with a strong focus on Deposit product offering.
- Education: University graduate, preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related discipline. Master's degree preferred.
- Languages: fluent English
- Skills:
- Proven track record in managing financial products and understanding current regulatory and market developments.
- Good knowledge of AI tools and ability to use them on day to day basis
- Demonstrated knowledge of product development, market analysis, marketing, and analytics.
- Strong financial acumen, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with comfort in using data analysis to derive conclusions.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal and influencing abilities.
- Solid project management skills, capable of delivering results, working unsupervised, managing deadlines, and adapting to changing priorities.
- Possession of a client-first attitude, passion for excellence, focus on execution, and attention to detail.
- Ability to challenge the status quo, work on own initiative, influence and coordinate multiple internal and external stakeholders, and operate effectively at different organizational levels.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
